Meet the artist: Johnny Ledger

I am blessed and so thankful to be able to write and produce original songs, beautiful oil paintings of gorgeous landscapes, and creative ideas for storytelling in my books. The songs I write come from normal life happenings, or I read a verse or chapter in the Bible, and then it begins as a lyric or two. By the time I try to go to sleep at night, I have a song in my head like an earworm. At this point, I have to start writing the lyrics into a full song and can't stop until I am satisfied with the end results.

The books I write often begin as ideas that take shape while I’m walking through nature—taking in the sights and sounds around me and allowing my mind to wander into the world of imagination. In those quiet moments, characters, places, and stories begin to form. My books are a reflection of the worlds I envision and the stories I feel compelled to share with you.

I am currently editing Stuart’s Tablet Mysteries and have added approximately 10,000 new words to the original manuscript. These additions expand on several topics and unanswered questions that left readers wondering, providing greater depth and clarity to the story. I have also created all-new artwork to complement the expanded edition and bring Stuart’s world to life in a fresh way.

Written for middle-grade readers, Stuart’s Tablet Mysteries is designed to entertain, spark curiosity, and encourage young readers to become investigators themselves. Along the way, they’ll discover that solving a mystery requires more than simply finding answers—it takes observation, critical thinking, curiosity, and a willingness to follow the clues.
